Fecker 3 inch Telescope Wedge

IMG_2481 (640x427)This is a very rare Fecker telescope from 1946. It is extremely unusual in the sheer mass of the mounting and overall dimensions. But the strangest feature of the telescope is that the mount will only track properly within about 20 degrees of the equator. You cannot adjust the mount to more northerly latitudes!  I made a video about the telescope and you can watch it here:

To make the telescope fully functional in the United States, I made a special wedge for the scope. I tried to make it look like a casting and match the paint on the original.
